Eutectic Japan relocates to get closer to its customers

The new Eutectic Japan Headquarters cover a 3.200 square meters area in a three-story building and are located in Yokohama, about 20 km further southwest of the old head office in Kawasaki. Daily work in the new facility has been resumed on Monday, 14 July 2014. With the new head office situated in the key industrial area of Yokohama, along with the solid five-decade business tradition in Japan, Eutectic Japan will be able to serve BETTER for MORE customers.

Eutectic Japan  has 14 sales offices and 6 Castolin repair workshops today, providing products and services to about 4.300 active customers in Japan. The company employs 180 people, including 90 salesmen.

New Castolin Workshop in Russia: 1.500 square meters production and repair space

Six years have passed since Castolin Eutectic opened its Russian Castolin Workshop, located in a Moscow suburb, 50 km from the main office. With operations steadily growing, the available production space of 750 m2 had lately become insufficient and it was decided to seek for a new location closer to the capital with potential for further expansion.

Castolin GmbH in Kriftel celebrates its 60th anniversary

In the last week of June 2014, Castolin Germany celebrated its 60th anniversary with live music, new welding equipment demonstrations and bright future plans. Devoted employees working in the company for more than 10/20/30 years have been rewarded with dedicated CastoPins. After an investment of 400.000 euros in renovation, the German branch in Kriftel recently became the new Central European Warehouse for Castolin clients in Central, Northern and Eastern Europe.

What have three football stadiums and the largest ship ever manufactured in the UK in common? The surface of approximately 19,500m². ​The flight deck of HMS Queen Elizabeth, for which Monitor Coatings Ltd. have developed an extremly wear-resistant coating, covers the size of three football pitches.​ On 4th July 2014, the Queen herself officially baptised the Navy's largest ship ever built at Rosyth dockyard.

MEC Group, through its Division Castolin Eutectic, announces the acquisition of Whertec, Inc., a privately owned company with headquarters in Jacksonville, Florida. The company will operate as a subsidiary of Eutectic Corporation, USA. Whertec was founded in 1996 and specializes in the application of coatings to protect against excessive wear, corrosion and erosion at elevated temperatures. Over the past years Whertec has secured a leading position in the boiler coatings market covering the power, recycling, biomass, steel and pulp & paper industries.

Kriftel, the new Castolin Eutectic Centre for tailor-made European Logistics

On 28 April 2014 the new Castolin Central Warehouse East (CWE) in Kriftel, Germany, got down to work. Customers in central, northern and eastern Europe are supplied directly from this location. In addition to strengthening competitiveness, the objective of this centralisation is to increase customer satisfaction and perform to the highest possible standards. The central warehouse is managed by Peter Garrad, Customer Service and Logistics Manager, Castolin Eutectic Ireland Limited.

Vertical Roller Mill Refurbishment: "Speed and Reliability are critical"

At the beginning of May 2014, the Castolin Eutectic mobile intervention team performed a vertical roller mill (VRM) refurbishment operation in a cement plant in Switzerland. Martin Trenk, worldwide VRM Business Unit Manager, was present on-site and explained the vertical roller mill wear problem and the Castolin Eutectic approach for a fast and long-lasting repair.
