In 2021, Castolin Eutectic proudly announced its membership in the United Nations Global Compact, a voluntary leadership platform dedicated to the development, implementation, and disclosure of responsible business practices. Since then, the company has made significant strides in aligning its operations with the ten universal principles and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set forth by the UN Global Compact. Looking Ahead

As Castolin Eutectic submits its 2025 UN Global Compact Communication on Progress report, the company reflects on its journey and the progress made in advancing sustainability and corporate responsibility. The report underscores the company's dedication to aligning its operations and strategies with the universally accepted Ten Principles in the areas of human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption.

Commitment to Sustainability

As we look back on the progress made over the past four years, Castolin Eutectic's 2025 UN Global Compact CoP report highlights the company's unwavering commitment to sustainability and corporate responsibility.

From the outset, Castolin Eutectic has been dedicated to pushing the boundaries of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices. Pierre Fleck, CEO of Castolin Eutectic, expressed pride in the company's inclusion in the world's largest corporate sustainability initiative.

2025 Report Highlights

The 2025 report provides detailed insights into the company's progress and achievements over the past year. Key highlights include:

  • Sustainable Product Development: The introduction of new products such as the EnDOtec SAFE-HARD 700 welding wire which has significantly reduced hazardous emissions and improved operator safety. In addition, CDP 4666 DXWn eXtreme wearplates have been added to the eco-friendly choices for industries focused on reducing their environmental impact
  • Reduction in CO2 Emissions: The company is continuously reducing its CO2 emissions, thanks to various energy-efficiency projects and the implementation of renewable energy sources
  • Community Impact: The company expanded its community outreach programs, by adding new welding schools in their supporting programs
  • Castolin Eutectic conducted our first Double Materiality Assessment (DMA) following the CSRD and ESRS by the European Union.
  • The company has converted grey into green energy tariffs to achieve a target of 50% green energy by the end of 2024.

As operations progress, Castolin Eutectic will utilize support services offered by the UN Global Compact, such as access to experts on sustainability topics and involvement in international events. The company's actions illustrate participation in collaborative efforts toward sustainability and equity.
