The 9th of January 2012 will always remain an important date in the minds of Eutectic Mexico´s employees. This particular date was the opening of their brand new Castolin workshop in Monterrey, in the north of Mexico. The Castolin Services history in Mexico started in 2005 with a 100 sqm-workshop equipped with few welding power sources and cutting equipment. Year after year, the service side of Eutectic business has been continuously growing, increasing so fast that Eutectic Mexico had to make new investments in 2008 with a new workshop, and again in 2012 with this brand new Castolin Services facilities.

The new facility is located in the best area of Monterrey, close to the airport and next to the main highways, which facilitates deliveries. It covers 2,500 sqm and it is fully equipped with the latest technologies and all necessary equipment to offer the widest range of processes to customers: Spray & Fuse, MIG/MAG, MMA, TIG, EuTronic GAP, Arc spray, but also a machining area and 2 CDP machines to supply the Mexican market with the CastoDur Diamond Plate®.

The inauguration has been a success: 40 guests amongst whom important Castolin people, as Andy Roake (CEO MEC), John Kirkwood (CEO NAFTA Castolin) and Gary Heath (CTO Castolin). Prominent Mexican customers (Vitro, Nemak, Holcim Apasco, etc) had the opportunity to participate in a demonstration of our complete range of services and the high quality that can be reached in the facility.
