We made it to the finals at Santa Pod Raceway

JL4C3440

At the first round of the European Drag Racing Series at Santa Pod Raceway on 2-3 June the Castolin Eutectic-sponsored Pro Mod Dragster made it to the finals and ended second in its class at the FIA Main Event. The owner and driver Bert-Ove Olofsson did his first appearance at Santa Pod and would have had a good chance in the final if not a broken lifter had stopped him to race the final. During the race, there were a number of delays due to bad weather with pouring rain and oil downs.

The acceleration and speed of these Pro Mod Dragsters are incredible as they accelerate from stand still to over 100 km/h in less than a second and top speed is well over 350 km/h. The Castolin Eutectic Pro Mod dragster uses Methanol as fuel and therefore qualifies as very environmentally-friendly. Especially as it only runs for 6 seconds at a time.
For the car frame to resist the extraordinary forces and constraints during the race, all frame joints have been welded with Castolin Tig rods providing best strength and performance.
How can we help you?
