Explore some of our focus applications for the cement industry:
Kiln and kiln tyre repairs: we master the heavy duty
These large round steel tubes can measure up to 4.5-6 meters in diameter and 45-150 meters in length. Since they are lined with fire- resistant refractory brick, constantly rotating on rollers and heated internally to 1450 °C, they are prone to serious operating and maintenance problems. The longer the kiln, the greater the cracking and misalignment of the rollers can become.
Vertical roller mill repairs: we save you time & money
Most cement plants are now using vertical vertical roller mills (large circular table that turns underneath heavy cast rollers), which crush the raw materials between themselves and the table, to produce the finished ground “raw meal”. We have expert knowledge for a wide variety of VRMs: from small ones (roller: Ø 1.65m and table: Ø 2.75m) to large ones (roller: Ø 3.2m and table: Ø 5.5m).
Raw mill fan housing: boost efficiency, avoid shutdowns
While transporting ground raw meal from the mill to the storage and blending areas, the fan and fan housing suffer wear from large volumes of small hard particles. In less than 1 year, a new housing is in danger of developing leaks that will reduce fan efficiency. To spare the costs of continuous repairs our CDP weld overlay plates are commonly fitted inside the housing, providing a lifetime 10 times longer than the original steel shell.
