MeCaTeC® 103F

The new MeCaTeC® range of advanced polymer surfacing formulations from Castolin Eutectic provides fast practical solutions to a wide variety of industrial maintenance and repair problems caused by premature wear of critical parts used in manufacturing machinery and equipment.

MeCaTeC® is ideal for anti-wear coating and repair of:

  • Difficult-to-weld metals e.g. Ni-Hard castings
  • Parts having an intricate shape or form
  • Thin section components

The cold applied, self- hardening MeCaTeC® range is one of several surface engineering technologies available from Castolin Eutectic specifically designed for maintenance and repair applications thus extending the service life of vital components, minimising production downtime and increasing industrial productivity.

What is MeCaTeC®?

MeCaTeC® is a synthetic, three dimensionally cross-linked, thermosetting polymer, reinforced with advanced composite compounds.

MeCaTeC® produces strong, adhesive bonding to most base material substrates through physicochemical surface reactions.

MeCaTeC® 103F is specially formulated to protect working surfaces against wear by low pressure abrasion and erosion.

The low viscosity, durable reinforced composite matrix is easily brushed or rolled in thin, precision layers over large areas or complex forms.

Multiple layers (0.5 mm thickness each), may be built up as needed with highest electrical insulating properties to resist service temperatures up to 175 °C. Alternatively, when thick final coatings are needed, MeCaTeC® 102P or A5 / A5HT may be used first before applying a final brush coat of MeCaTeC® 103F.


Applications
MeCaTeC® 103F is ideal for rebuilding, protecting and repairing damaged or new machine parts such as: mixer, blades, hoppers, vessels, chutes, elbows and conduits, pump impellors, fan blades. A final, thin brush coat of MeCaTeC® 103F may be applied whenever applications require a very smooth surface finish.
