EnDOtec® DO*84 welding wire

Exceptional resistance to wear caused by thermal shocks and mechanical pressures.
Exclusive, gas shielded, metal cored alloy wire for the highest integrity welding, efficiency and productivity are required.
A high nickel alloy containing Cr-Mo-W gives a slag-free austenitic deposit offering exceptionally good resistance to wear caused by thermal shocks, by high mechanical pressures, as well as by high temperature abrasion and corrosion. The work-hardening deposit is easily machinable and resists oxidation up to service temperatures of 1200°C, and thermal shocks and severe thermal cycling up to 950°C.
The deposit is particularly resistant to strong oxidising agents, such as nitric acid. Also provides protection against free chlorine, aqueous solutions of chlorine and hypochlorites, acidic iron- and copper-salt solutions, hydrochloric acids at ambient temperatures, hydrofluoric acids, phosphoric acids, organic acids (acetic, formic, etc.) and mixtures of zinc chloride and ammonium chloride. Also used for joining dissimilar base metals, including nickel alloys. With care, it can be used for joining low- and high alloy steels.
  • Unique peripheral arc characteristics.
  • Low heat input for low dilution.
  • Maximised weld metal recovery.
  • Exceptional positional weldability.
  • Regular bead profile, virtually spatter free.
  • Versatile usage over wide parameter range.
  • Faster deposition rate for reduced labour costs.

Applications

Chemical and petrochemical Industries: Shafts and blades of mixers and stirrers, valve seats in contact with abrasive chemical products in suspension in corrosive fluids, coating and joining of pump housings and lmpellers, electrolytic vessels.
Metallurgical and forging Industries: Stripper points, hot shear blades, hardening baskets, deburring tools, hot cutting and punching tools, household waste incinerator grates.
High-temperature applications: Combustion chambers, expansion rings, components such as:chains and buckets on conveyor ovens and furnaces.
