Castolin Eutectic launches MeCaTeC®, a new range of advanced polymer coatings that provide fast and practical solutions to a wide range of industrial maintenance and repair problems caused by the premature wear of critical parts used in the manufacture of machinery and equipment . MeCaTec® is ideal for anti-wear coatings and repairs of all metals, even difficult-to-weld metals such as Ni-Hard cast iron.
MeCaWear : The MeCaWear A5 and A5 HT products are now even easier to mix and offer improved shape stability. In addition, the MeCaWear range uses elastomer-modified technology found in the MeCaWear 300 and 400 products. Thanks to this elastomer chemistry, these products offer increased crack resistance to impact and flex damage. The result of advancements made by Castolin Eutectic's proprietary chemistry are the most heat resistant epoxy based industrial coatings on the market. MeCaWear 350 and 450 are used for maintenance and repair work on bag filters, dust collectors or piping systems where the operating temperature is below 500ºF.
MeCaFix : Material fatigue in wear-prone metal components is not unusual in industrial plants. The higher the load, heat, corrosion and pollution, the faster wear occurs. The premature failure of mechanical components such as shafts, keyways, rollers, bearing housings and mechanical seals can result in costly downtime. Replacing components is not always a sensible option for plant operators. The affected parts may not be in stock or an exchange would take too long. MeCaFix is designed to get systems up and running quickly. MeCaFix 100 is just the thing for quick metal fillings, repairs of leaks and adhesive bonds.
The MeCaCorr range is designed for wastewater, hydrocarbon, warm service water and chemical exposure applications. These high-performance ceramic-based coatings are designed to extend the life of tanks, boilers and piping systems by providing a reinforced protective barrier against corrosive stress in harsh industrial environments. MeCaCorr 700 is Castolin Eutectic's entry-level product for municipal wastewater services. The coating offers great flexibility and its price makes it extremely competitive on the market. MeCaCorr 710 is designed for the protection of HVACR chillers and heat exchangers. This coating offers exceptional protection and is in the process of replacing competitive products used for this purpose.
In addition to all these new technologies, Castolin Eutectic has developed an application format that makes applying the polymer coatings even easier: the pneumatic MeCaSpray cartridge spray system. MeCaSpray helps the customer save working time and improve the results of the applied coating. This closed spray system is portable and lightweight. It is also easy to use and control. It features a two-stage trigger that allows for one-handed operation. When the two-stage lever is actuated, atomizing air first flows to the nozzle, followed by the material flow from the cartridge. Each two-component cartridge contains both resin and hardener, separated from each other until sprayed. With this system, precise mixing occurs at the nozzle, so if it is needed. This ensures economical consumption and avoids pot life problems.
